Snow Day

Mommy had another snow day today.  It is nice that she gets to stay home with us but she is sad that it is cutting in to our summer fun.  I am wishing for sun soon.

Daddy is pulling me in a little wagon that I got when I was born.  I thought it was pretty fun.  When he was done pulling me I just sat there waiting to be pulled more.

Mr. Clean

My new favorite thing to do is vacuum and mop the floor.  If mommy gets the vacuum out I run for it and chase her down until I catch her so I can help.  I'm must say I'm pretty good at cleaning.

Worn Out

I have been sleeping in my own bed for naps and at night time now for a couple of months.  I'm doing pretty well but sometimes still cry for a few minutes right when mommy or daddy put me down.  I really like to snuggle with them instead of laying in my own bed.  I'm sure I will get use to it soon.  I do love my giraffe pillow and blanket though.  They are my snuggle buddies in my bed.

Cute Buns

Mommy was changing my diaper and realized that we were out of diapers.  She had to put me down to get more out of my closet.  I decided to check out the backyard and see what the dogs were barking at. 

Fairy Tale and Train Fun

We went to Fritz to have Choo Choo lunch.  It's this place that a train brings you this food.  The last time I went there I was still a baby and just stayed in my car seat.  This time I got to wear a cool hat and watch the trains go by.  It was a lot of fun.  I can't wait to go back sometime.

We also went to the Fairy Tale exhibit at Crown Center.  I loved walking over the bridge and peeking out of cinderellas stage coach at mommy.

Then we walked over to Union Station to see the trains.  We had to walk for a long time so Daddy let me ride on his shoulders.  I really thought that was cool.

On our way back we stopped to see the water fall.  Will threw some money in and made a wish but Daddy thought I would just eat it so I didn't get to throw any in.  Maybe next time.

Happy Valentine's Day

I had a great Valentine's Day.  I enjoyed opening presents and playing with Will.  We also slept in our cute Valentine's Day PJ's.

1st Hair cut

So daddy says I need a hair cut!  What do you think?  Mommy says I am so cute with my long hair that covers my ears.   I guess daddy wins though and I have to get it cut.  The car I got to sit in while they cut my hair is cool.  Maybe I can come back again some time. I do look pretty handsome with my new style.  Mommy says I look all grown up with it spiked like this.  Her little baby isn't a baby any more. Nana Lea went with us while I got my hair cut.  We are so glad she was here to celebrate my first birthday and my first hair cut.  She is retiring next year so we hope she visits more.

I'm a Big Kid Now

I am a big 1 year old now.  Sometimes I like to act like I'm 3 and follow Will around and try to do what he does. Here are some things I am doing now.
~I can climb my step stool to brush my teeth.  Thank you Nana Lea. 
~I finally sleep all night in my bed instead of mommy and daddy's bed.  I have been doing this for a month or so. 
~I have 4 teeth that are all the way in and am working at least 3 more.  Ouch they hurt!
~I am running now and go wherever I want to go.
~My favorite thing to do right now is eat!
~I go to the pantry and point.  When someone opens the door for me I go and grabe the cookies or whatever I would like for a snack.  I pretty much help myself!
~When I want more of something I point to it and then touch my stomach.  Mommy and Daddy think it is pretty cute!
~I can say ma ma, da da, Nana, Anna and ni ni for Night Night.
~When mommy says lets go night night I go to my room.
~I can give a kiss when you ask for one.
~I can go get the ball and throw it to daddy.
~I undersand a lot of what you say.
~I know exactly what foods I like.  You can fix as many vegetables as you want but make sure you give me some hot dog.  I smash the carrots and peas and then pick out the hot dog.  I liek about any kind of fruit though.
~I am a climber.  I climb on the futon and the chairs. Mommy and Daddy have to keep a good eye on me because I'm not scared of anything.

A Year Has Gone By

It's hard to believe my baby boy is already 1!  Where did the time go?  One year ago I was at the hospital for my pre surgery.  After I left there I was very nervous and feeling a little sick to my stomach. This was not because our family was going from 3 to 4 but that I was going to have a c-section.  I knew I wasn't going to be able to pick Will up for awhile and that he wasn't going to understand why.  After Will was born I felt like I could run a mile or two.  I was out shopping the day we came home from the hospital.  I pretty much new that wasn't going to happen after I had Lane.   I decided to get a pedicure and then go pick Will up from the baby sitter early so we could go to Build A Bear and make an animal for him and Lane.  He wasn't as excited about it as I was.  I just thought it would be a great way to spend our last day together with out a baby brother.  That night I don't think  I slept at all.  I was anxious about Lane arriving.  Morning came very fast and we were off to the hospital. Will stayed home with Nana Lea for a little while and then they came.  I was already int the surgery room ready to go.  Eddie wasn't in there yet and I think that was probably the scarest point of the entire day. After he came in I calmed down a lot and could enjoy Lane being born.  It all went so so fast Lane was able to ride back to our room on the bed with me.  He was able to met Will and Nana Lea for the first time when we got back to the room.  We all enjoyed holding him and cuddling.  Lane has grown so much this past year.  He is always following his big brother around an trying to do what he does. (We aren't so sure that is a good thing)  Will is a little on the wild side.  Lane defianatly already has his own little personality and at his 1 year check up he was at the developmental level of a 17 month old.  He has sat up, crawled and walked about 2 months ahead of Will.  He has been walking for about 3 1/2 months now.  He is pretty much past he walking stage and on to running.

Happy 1st Birthday

I'm 1!!!  Can you tell I loved the cake?  It didn't take me long to dig in! 

Here is my 1st birthday cake.  I couldn't wait to dig in.  We had a party at our house.  Ashley, Teri, Angela, Nana Lea, Mommy, Daddy, Will and some of my friends came to celebrate with me. 

I enjoyed opening all my presents.

Lane's 1st Year

I went to my 1st ELMO live performance.  I loved it!!  Mommy thought I was probably a little young this year but Will wanted to go.  I watched the whole time and clapped after every song.  I can't wait to go again next year.

Helping My Self

Mommy was helping Will go to the bathroom and when she came out she found me helping myself to the Nilla Waffers.  Who needs help?  I can do it myself mom!

Fun in the Snow

We have a ton of snow here so daddy thought it would be fun to take us sledding.  I loved every minute of it.  Will did a great job hanging on to me.   I didn't actually get to go down the hill like Will did but daddy pulled me on the sled down the street.
